Maintaining your bathroom:
Bathroom Installation Services recommend the following points be observed for maintaining your
installation
- Keep the room well ventilated at all times, using an extractor fan
and keep a window/door
ajar.
- Remove excess moisture from all bathroom components after use. For wall tiles, splash panels and
glass screens - remove water
with a soft squeegee into the drain.
- Remove standing water from floors and shower trays after use. Excess water left in the room will
evaporate into the air, this
will encourage mould & rust.
-
Thoroughly rinse all areas after use, be sure to remove shampoo, conditioner and any other
chemical-containing products
from all grout and silicone joints.
- Only clean the room using soft chemical free cleaners, harsh chemical cleaners (Such as Cif
& Cilit Bang etc) will attack
and break down parts of your installation over time.
- Spray all grout lines every 3 months with a protective agent.
- Keep basin, bath and shower traps filled with water. If the bathroom is not in use, run water
down all outlets at least once
a week to prevent smells from the drains entering the bathroom.
- Do not store wet towels on towel rails or radiators for prolonged periods. Do not leave
wet towels in your bathroom
if you can help it. As above, the moisture in the towel will evaporate into the air.
- Turn off the water to your property when you go on holiday or the property will be vacant for
longer than 2 days.
- Never operate more than 1 shower at a time if you have a combi boiler, or 1 pump feeding 2
showers.
- If you have a pump installed onto gravity-fed tanks, do not run for prolonged periods where the
tanks could empty.

Please note: Your warranty is transferable to a new owner
should you sell your home, for
this transfer to be successful you must notify us of this intention in advance so that an inspection
of the bathroom can be
arranged before the sale.
Once this inspection has been completed we will write to confirm our findings from the inspection.
If the installation is in good order and has been well maintained we would be happy to transfer
the remaining warranty over
to your buyer.
If there is any evidence of the above exclusions, then we may restrict the scope of the warranty
and confirm this to you in
writing.
Please fill in the contact box if any issues relating to product or workmanship occur within your
warranty period.
We will be in touch shortly to remedy the situation.
